You can see some of the most imaginative, aesthetically liberated, and gloriously thoughtfully messy theater in the world.
— VULTURE
It is safe to say there is nothing else like this on New York stages right now.
— THE NEW YORK TIMES
Emona Stoykova’s minimal set gives the actors so much room to play with. The ideas for the miniature trains, the constant scenery change through the train window, as well as the “train” interior for A Canary for One are ingenious.
— Theatre Scene
Emona Stoykova’s set is anchored by a dilapidated wall of cardboard splashed with white paint, with random objects on the floor buried in the rubble. Jackson also unveils the train, a model that putt-putts across the stage in the back. Thus, right from the start, we are aware that this evening will be as much about the art of making theater as it will be about the art of performance itself.
